pdn portfolio of the month

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

Last week for her presentation at the Apple Store, Barbara shared some of her newest work, which juxtaposes Greyhound imagery with her commercial architectural photographs. The resulting pairings are unexpected, clever and thought provoking. The pairings received great reception at the talk and Barbara thus decided to debut this work on her PDN Photoserve Portfolio.

This new portfolio has just been named one of PDN’s Portfolios of the Month.

greyhounds vs. architecture

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

In preparation for her talk at the Apple Store, Barbara has been juxtaposing various types of imagery. Shown here is Serta International Center in Hoffman Estates, IL, a project she shot last month for Andrew Metter of Epstein/Annex5. Serta is a multifaceted project that will be shot repetitively over the next 3 seasons. Barbara is very excited about the “photo ops” the building presents. Fortunately, the weather cooperated for some late fall shots before the leaves were completely gone and the landscape was reminiscent of the brindle greyhound below.
